Bitglass just returned from a fun, technology-packed week at Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit! With cloud access security brokers (CASBs) being the hottest topic at the conference, we had a busy booth full of potential prospects eager to learn more about Bitglass and, of course, to get their hands on one of our limited edition "Rock the CASB – Zero-day Tour" t-shirts. Key takeaway? Cloud security continues to be top of mind, with enterprises of all sizes and from all industries seeking out CASBs for a broad range of applications – far beyond the Office 365 interest of the past. Organizations are moving to the cloud more than ever and are performing extensive research on cloud security solutions.
Another highlight? Word is getting out! I can't count the number of attendees that approached our booth that had heard about Bitglass and wanted to know what all the buzz was about.
Our CMO, Rich Campagna, gave a presentation to a packed audience about "CASBs in the Wild," providing real-life use cases on how Bitglass meets and exceeds Gartner's four pillars of CASB. Speaking of which, we also enjoyed a great session by Steve Riley on the Magic Quadrant for CASBs and the factors Gartner takes into account when analyzing different companies' products. We're very excited and proud to be the only company listed as a visionary!
And, of course, perhaps most importantly, the team enjoyed a big, Maryland, blue-crab dinner – complete with Natty Bohs, the Busch Light of the east coast. Good thing we had Maryland native Rich there to show us the back-fin technique – yum!
We're very excited for next year and can't wait to see you then!
