In EMEA, It's the Year of the Cloud

g96j64inrho-hector-martinez.jpgMigrating to the cloud is rapidly becoming top-of-mind for many European companies. More organizations are looking to cloud applications like Office 365 and G Suite to lower costs, improve employee productivity, and reduce maintenance burdens on IT staff.

Our latest report looked at data from over 800 European-based companies to see how they compare to adoption in the rest of the world. Interestingly, cloud adoption in Europe (65%) has surpassed that of other countries (59%) around the world. Notably, Office 365 is leading among cloud apps, deployed in 43% of EMEA countries, followed by G Suite at 22%.

With migration to the cloud come concerns around security and compliance. Companies need to mitigate potential threats and know that their data is safe regardless of where it’s accessed. Of the European countries, Germany and the Netherlands were found to be the most security conscious with nearly half (49%) Office 365 orgs using single sign-on security (SSO) solutions. This represents a 25 point increase over the US, where 23.3% of orgs use Office 365 SSO.

Cloud adoption shows no signs of slowing down in the coming year. The need for data control and visibility has led many orgs to find cloud security solutions that provide cross-application data protection. To learn more about our findings, download the full report here.
