Bitglass: The High-Oktane CASB

Oktane 2018 Traffic

Bitglass just returned from Las Vegas after attending Oktane 2018 at the Aria. It was a technology-filled, action-packed week with keynote speaker President Barack Obama, a private rooftop party at Drai’s nightclub, and a speaking session by Bitglass’ Vice President of Worldwide Solutions Engineering, Joe Green. The conference gave Bitglass the opportunity to connect with Okta users and share about our partnership with the company. Our booth was busy with c-level executives who were seeking to learn more about our next-gen cloud security solution. Also, everyone wanted to get their hands on our special “Rock the CASB” t-shirts.

Oktane 2018 ObamaNews about Bitglass’ recent partnership with Okta drove a great deal of booth traffic. Many Okta users and employees dropped by because they were curious about how our solutions work together. As several Bitglass clients already rely on Okta for SSO, discussions were smooth, tied to real-world examples, and fruitful. We also ran several mobile demos, all routing through Okta, demonstrating the value that Bitglass and Okta can offer together. Those present were pleased to see how seamlessly Bitglass works and how perfectly it preserves native user experience. Great conversations were started, resulting in a number of one-on-one demos already.

Oktane also featured several activities including a retro Nintendo video game station, photography profile shots, and a 6am group run down the strip. There was little downtime – we did everything! The activities were a nice opportunity to connect with attendees outside of the booth, so we made sure to participate. The conference giveaways were also nice, especially the Yeti sports bottles and pink hoodies.

Overall, it was an excellent conference for Bitglass. We met with several executives who were eager to learn more about the Bitglass solution and are now preparing to demo the product. The feedback was positive and we are excited for our partnership with Okta to continue to grow. We will see you all next year at Oktane 2019 – be sure to keep an eye out for the Next-Gen CASB.
